Humpback – Adapting to Humanity

I had the honour of creating four short animations for the upcoming documentary Humpback – Adapting to Humanity. Each one is based on a real-life humpback whale encounter, told by Australian nature photographer Craig Parry. I was given snippets from a recorded interview and animated around 50 seconds of hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animation.

Note: The animations below are currently cut with unedited audio as a rough reference only. The final documentary is still in production. All audio was provided by and is owned by Alexander Forrest (Forrest Media).

Bunny Wizard – Walk Cycle Animation

For my final Master’s project in Motion Graphics, we were asked to create a larger motion piece based on the theme of transformation. I chose to focus on character design and frame-by-frame animation. The result is a 45-second walk cycle animation featuring a bunny wizard who evolves through three life stages: a young bunny, an adult, and finally an old, wise wizard.
